Specialist tutoring, tailored education packages and a growing resource library for Education With Lauren families.

Ongoing support

This is where it all comes together

Assessments and reports create the foundation. Ongoing specialist support is what builds the house. EWL’s tutoring and teaching services are built entirely around the individual child — their learning profile, their pace, their goals. Not a curriculum. Not a one-size-fits-all programme. A relationship.

What progress looks like

The child you’ve always known is still there

What EWL families say happens

The most consistent feedback from families isn’t about grades. It’s about the child. They start wanting to go to sessions. They stop dreading Monday mornings. They begin to say “I can do this.” The confidence comes first. The academic progress follows. That’s what specialist SEND education looks like when it’s done well.

Questions

Frequently asked

How is EWL’s teaching different from standard tutoring?
Standard tutoring works through a curriculum. EWL builds from a detailed understanding of your child’s specific learning profile, SEND needs and emotional regulation. Every approach is SEND-aware and adapted to how your individual child actually processes and retains information — not how an average child does.
Can EHCP funding be used to pay for EWL sessions?
Yes. EWL sessions can be funded through EHCP Personal Budget allocations, EOTAS (Education Other Than At A School) budgets, and other Local Authority provisions. Get in touch and Lauren can advise on what applies to your child’s situation.
How often are sessions?
This depends entirely on your child’s needs and the package agreed. Weekly is most common for ongoing support. Intensive blocks are available for specific targets. Lauren will recommend the right frequency based on your child’s profile.
Do you support children who are home educated?
Yes. EWL works with a significant number of home-educated children, including those who have been withdrawn from school due to SEND-related difficulties. KCC Licensed Home School Provider status means EWL can deliver formal home education provision.
What does a progress report look like?
Lauren provides written progress reports to parents at regular intervals throughout any package. Reports cover academic progress, confidence and engagement, areas of growth, and next steps. Parents are never left wondering how their child is doing.
