In plain terms: We collect only what we need to respond to your enquiry and deliver our services. We don’t sell your data and we never share it for marketing. Where we do share it — for example with a clinical partner you have chosen to use, or with the suppliers who run our website — we tell you exactly who and why below.

This privacy policy applies to Education With Lauren (“EWL”), a specialist education service operated by Lauren Robson as a sole trader, based in Kent.

What data we collect and why

Contact and enquiry forms. When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect your name and contact details (email, phone), your child’s name, year group and current school, the general reason you are getting in touch, and how you heard about us. We ask you not to include detailed medical information, diagnoses or other sensitive details in the enquiry form. If a service goes ahead, there is a proper, secure point later at which that information is collected with your consent.

Legal basis: Consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.

Service delivery. If you engage us for an assessment or teaching service, we hold the additional information needed to deliver it — including assessment data, report content and correspondence. Some of this is health or special category data about your child, and we treat it with the highest level of care.

Legal basis: Performance of our contract with you. Where we process special category data (information about health or educational needs), we rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Website analytics. This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. It does not identify you by name, but it is not fully anonymous. No analytics cookies are set unless you accept them via the cookie banner.

Advertising measurement. This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure whether our advertising reaches the right people. The Pixel does not run unless you accept advertising cookies. When it runs, some data is shared with Meta (based in the United States).

How we use your data

To respond to your enquiry and provide the service you have requested
To prepare and deliver assessment reports and teaching sessions
To communicate with you about your child’s progress and next steps
To meet our safeguarding obligations
To understand website use and advertising performance (with your consent only)

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.

Who we share your data with

The ADHD Centre (our clinical partner) — only if you decide to go ahead with an ADHD or autism assessment through our partnership. In that case, and with your explicit consent, we share the limited information needed to arrange it, under a written data sharing agreement. The ADHD Centre is responsible as controller for the clinical assessment itself. Education With Lauren is not a clinical provider, does not diagnose, and does not accept liability for The ADHD Centre’s services.
Other specialist professionals (for example dyslexia, auditory processing, audiology, speech and language or educational psychology) — we point you to the professional and you contact and engage them directly. We do not pass your data to them; that remains your choice. If you later choose to share the specialist’s findings back with us, we’ll use them only to support your child’s wider education and SEND plan.
Schools and SENCOs — only where you have asked us to send a report or intervention map on your behalf.
Suppliers who help us run the service — Web3Forms (delivers our enquiry form to our inbox), Netlify (hosts our website), Google (analytics) and Meta (advertising measurement). These act on our instructions as processors, except where noted above.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or marketing companies for their own use.

International data transfers

Some of the suppliers above (Web3Forms, Netlify, Google and Meta) are based in the United States, so some data is processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved for use under UK data protection law (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).

Data relating to children

Education With Lauren works with children and holds sensitive data about their educational and developmental needs. This is treated as special category data under UK GDPR. It is:

Stored securely and accessed only by Lauren Robson, and by any person she authorises to help run the service (for example website administration), all bound by confidentiality
Shared only with you (the parent or carer who engaged us), or with third parties where you have given explicit consent, as set out above
Never used for any purpose other than the service being delivered

Education With Lauren holds an Advanced Designated Safeguarding Lead certification (KCC Ref: 331533) and operates in line with our Safeguarding Policy.

How long we keep your data

Enquiries that do not proceed to a service: 6 months, then securely deleted
Client records (assessments, reports, correspondence): 6 years from the end of our work with you, then securely deleted. This matches the period we are required to keep financial records. If you would like us to keep your child’s report for longer so it is available to them in future, just ask.
Analytics data: in line with Google Analytics settings (14 months)

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access your data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@withlauren.uk. We will respond within one calendar month. If your request is complex we may extend this by up to two further months, and we will tell you if so within the first month.

Cookies

This website uses three categories of cookie and similar technology: essential (needed for the site to work, always on), analytics (Google Analytics), and advertising (the Meta Pixel). Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them on the cookie banner. We also use a small amount of local browser storage to remember where a visitor came from. Declining is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Manage Cookies” link in the footer.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure. Our website is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption) at all times.
