“The SEND system is complicated. We know how to navigate it — so you don’t have to do it alone.”
A diagnosis or assessment finding is just the beginning. The next challenge is making the education system respond. Schools are stretched. Local authorities are under pressure. Waiting lists are long. EWL knows how to cut through the delay and get your child the formal, documented support they’re entitled to.
A professionally authored Education, Health and Care Plan report — the formal document that entitles your child to specified educational provision. No waiting for school to act. No relying on overstretched local authority processes. We write the report. You submit it.

The EHCP process can feel impossibly complicated. Here’s a plain-English overview of what it involves and where EWL can help.
An Education, Health and Care Plan is a legally binding document that specifies the educational provision a child with significant SEND needs is entitled to receive. It is produced by the Local Authority following a Needs Assessment. Once in place, the school must deliver what the plan specifies — it is not optional.
You or the school requests an EHCP Needs Assessment. The Local Authority has 6 weeks to decide whether to proceed.
The LA collects reports from education, health and social care. A private EWL report strengthens your case significantly here.
If approved, a draft plan is issued. You have the right to comment, amend, and challenge provisions that are too vague or inadequate.
The final EHCP is issued. Annual reviews must take place. EWL supports you at every review to ensure the plan stays current and effective.
Real words from families we’ve worked with across Kent.
If like me you are concerned about the academic progress of your SEN child and how to help them better at school, I cannot recommend Lauren more. From the first conversation I immediately knew I had found the right person to help figure out our next steps. Upon meeting Lauren for the first time and during the gap analysis assessment my daughter was totally comfortable with Lauren which goes to show how amazing she is. She is kind, concise, patient, warm and clearly knows what she is doing. If every teacher was like Lauren all our children would thrive regardless of ability! The detail and advice that Lauren provides in her report goes above and beyond and has left me feeling supported in a way that I haven’t before as we take the next steps in helping my daughter. Thank you so much!
Wow! Lauren is amazing. We had our GAP Analysis assessent and not only did she spot things that were constantly being brushed off as “normal” She listened to me as a parent. my child is struggling and Lauren see straight through the mask. I’m nervous about receiving the report but i know with Lauren behind us with her knowledge and experience we have nothing to worry about. Thank You
We feel so lucky to have found Lauren.
Our son had a gap analysis done with Lauren and it was the best thing we could have done as now we know the reasons for our son’s constant struggles at school
And our son who doesn’t like learning actually enjoys going to Lauren for his sessions and can’t recommend her enough.
Lauren has completed a gap analysis assessment for my daughter, and it has been so helpful for us. I now feel like I have a much clearer understanding if what will help her achieve, and also know what I need to be discussing with school in terms of appropriate support. Lauren is very knowledgeable and extremely professional. We are now doing some tutoring with Lauren, and my daughter has settled into this really well and is already gaining confidence. Highly recommended!
Well, all I can say this tutor is miles above any other I’ve met!!
She gas turned my adhd/autistic son around within a few months since being home schooled. He has gone from a child who didn’t want to learn at all, due to his primary school not meeting his needs, to suddenly showing his actual capabilities AND enjoying learning!!
Cannot recommend Lauren enough, shes an angel put on earth.
Lauren has been teaching my son for around a year now & the change in him has been nothing short of amazing! Thanks to Lauren he will soon enter back into full time education. Something I didn’t think possible before Lauren entered into his life.
Thanks for all your continued support Lauren.

I approached Lauren when looking for a tutor for my son who has SEN and has been home educated for 3 years due to a traumatic time at secondary school. Lauren has the patience of a saint and has been so understanding of my son’s needs adapting sessions and putting strategies in place to unlock him from his mutism. I wish I had found Lauren years ago
We are so grateful for the advice and guidance we have received. We are hopeful that we can now access the complex system we find ourselves in.
We have been extremely pleased with the support and guidance our daughter has received from Lauren. From the very beginning, Lauren took the time to understand her individual needs, strengths, and challenges, creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where she feels comfortable, valued, and confident.
Lauren is patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She adapts her teaching approach to suit our daughter's learning style, helping her make excellent progress both academically and personally. We have seen significant improvements in her confidence, engagement, and willingness to embrace new challenges.
Lauren's communication with us as parents has been outstanding. She provides thoughtful feedback and keeps us informed of our daughter's progress, which has been greatly appreciated. Her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to helping children succeed are evident in everything she does.
We are incredibly grateful for the positive impact Lauren has had on our daughter's learning journey and would not hesitate to recommend her to other families seeking SEND support. She has made a real difference, and we feel very fortunate to have found her.
