“Many families wait a long time for answers. You don’t have to.”

The first step

Understanding what’s really going on

Something isn’t right — but nobody seems to be able to tell you what. School says everything is fine. Yet you can see your child struggling, withdrawing, losing confidence. The first and most important step is getting a clear, independent picture of exactly where your child stands and why.

Education With Lauren’s assessments go far beyond what school reports provide. They identify not just academic gaps but the reasons behind them — including undiagnosed or suspected SEND needs that may have been missed entirely.

Questions

Frequently asked

My child’s school says everything is fine. Should I still get an assessment?
Yes — this is one of the most common situations we see. School reports reflect classroom performance and teacher observations, not a detailed assessment of learning and processing. Many children mask their difficulties in school. An independent assessment often identifies what has been missed entirely.
What age groups can be assessed?
EYFS (Reception) through to Year 11. The assessment is adapted for the child’s age and year group. Get in touch if you’re unsure whether your child’s age is suitable.
What if my child is anxious about being assessed?
This is very common. The assessment is done at home via a familiar screen. Lauren takes time to make sure your child feels calm and comfortable. The session is calm, warm and child-led.
Can the report be used for an EHCP application?
Yes. The report gives structured evidence of your child's needs, which you can use, at your discretion, to support an EHCP application or appeal. You decide whether and how to submit it.
How quickly will I receive the report?
All assessment reports are delivered direct to your inbox as a professionally formatted PDF. Lauren will confirm the expected timescale with you when you book.
